🌿 Life is a Circle, Not a Line — Hiking the Tree of Life & the Enso Cycle 🌿🌀
There are moments in nature when everything aligns—breath, movement, thought—and you feel utterly present. Hiking offers these moments in abundance. Each step forward is a return inward.
Like the ancient Tree of Life, we grow when we stay rooted. Our connection to the earth grounds us, while the path invites us to rise, to reach, to evolve. And like the Enso—Zen’s sacred circle—hiking mirrors the cycles of wholeness, impermanence, and the beauty of the unfinished.
🌲 The Tree of Life in Every Step 🌲
Roots (Earth) – The steady ground beneath us, a reminder to begin from stillness.
Trunk (Strength) – The climb that shapes us, teaching resilience with each ascent.
Branches (Expansion) – The vistas that widen our perspective, like the Enso’s infinite openness.
Leaves & Fruit (Renewal) – The gifts of rest, nourishment, and shared journeys.
The Enso is drawn in a single breath—just like that silent pause at a mountain peak, or the stillness between heartbeats on the trail. Hiking is a living meditation, where the Tree of Life and the Enso meet: a reminder that we are part of something greater, always in motion, yet always whole.
The trail isn’t just outside of us—it’s within us. And every time we walk it, we return a little more to ourselves.
Where has the path taken you lately?
